. It features bright green, finely divided leaves that resemble ferns, adding a lush, textured look to the aquarium. The leaves can vary in shape depending on the light and water conditions.
Growth rate
A fast-growing aquatic plant. It can grow 1-8cm per day once established.
Lighting
thrives in low to medium lighting conditions, but will grow faster and have denser foliage under medium to high lighting. It requires 10-12 hours of artificial light per day to flourish. While it can tolerate low light, moderate to high light levels will enhance its growth and coloration.
Placement
A versatile stem plant well-suited for both the midground and background of an aquarium, given its potential to reach a height of 20-50cm.
Planting
Carefully remove the plant from its container (if applicable) and trim any damaged or dead leaves. Use your fingers or tweezers to create a hole in the substrate and plant the stems, ensuring that at least a couple of the nodes (where leaves emerge) are buried. Plant each stem a few centimeters apart to allow for proper growth and prevent overcrowding.
Algae
Its rapid growth helps prevent algae because the plant absorbs a great number of nutrients from the water.
